1. Acceptance
By accessing or using ToolVault (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. These terms apply to every tool, page and feature of the Site.
2. The service
ToolVault provides free, browser-based utility tools such as image compression, PDF processing, text utilities, calculators and generators. Processing happens locally in your browser using standard web technologies; for this reason we make no server-side copies, backups or archives of any file you process.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site: to process content you have no right to use; to attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer our hosting infrastructure; to scrape pages at abusive rates; or in any manner that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
4. Ownership
We own and reserve all rights in the Site's code, design, name, and written content. The files you process with the Site remain yours alone — we claim no rights over your content, and we do not keep any copy of it.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and all tools are provided 'as is' and 'as available', without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular result. Tools involving calculations (loans, currency, units) provide estimates for informational purposes and are not financial, tax or professional advice.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ToolVault and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill arising from use of the Site. Because your files are processed locally in your browser and are not transmitted to us, we cannot be responsible for data loss resulting from your device or browser failing during processing.
7. Advertising
The Site is supported by advertising. Advertisements are provided by third parties and we do not control their content. Interactions with ads (including purchases) are solely between you and the advertiser.
8. Changes and governing law
We may modify or discontinue any part of the Site, or change these terms, at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
